ABOUT THE EVENT

Join Mass Culture on February 3, 1 – 3pm Eastern, for Gamifying Your Strategic Planning Process.

In 2021, Mass Culture created its own living strategic plan, a document created out of conversations with the organization's governance and to be returned to and improved upon on a frequent basis.

Now, we want to share our learnings with you through an interactive workshop that will see you explore Miro (an online digital whiteboard), what a game is, and what is required to create a game of your own.

During this 2-hour workshop, Mass Culture's staff will equip you with the tools and knowledge required to gamify your strategic planning process.

Members of Mass Culture's governance had this to say about their experience last year:

I've participated in and facilitated many strategic planning sessions and this was the first time it was "gamified." I appreciated the way it shifted the way we engaged in the conversation around the current status and future of the organization.  This workshop would benefit facilitators and leaders looking for new tools to use within their own professional practice, or within their organization.

Kenji Maeda, GVPTA

Over the last ten years, I have been through several strategic planning sessions led by different consultants that aimed to answer funder's questions. Those strategic planning sessions were long and procedural. In general, it felt like writing by committee and it was unsatisfying. Mass Culture's strategic planning process is organic and creative. It draws on the inherent strength in the room. After an hour, I felt like we had something useful to build on. It was the most satisfying strategic planning process I have ever been a part of because it was visual and truly strategic.
