WELCOME MESSAGE

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to attend the “18th International Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Conference” that will be taking place at Koç University, İstanbul/Türkiye, on August 26-28, 2024.

Since starting in 2004, the NanoTR conference series has emerged as a premier event in the field of Nanotechnology, annually gathering a diverse group of scientists, experts, and professionals from academia, research institutions, and industry. Over the years, nanoscience has been a driving force in bridging numerous disciplines, demonstrating its profound influence across various sectors. This year, our conference will spotlight the interdisciplinary role of nanoscience in biology and its seamless integration with technological advancements.

This year, we are excited to announce a new addition to our conference series: the inclusion of undergraduate students. This expansion aims to foster engagement in science and technology among young academics, while also providing them with valuable networking and career development opportunities.

Moreover, from the aspect of university-industry collaboration, NanoTR-18 offers a great opportunity for nanotech companies to network and present their products and engage with academia. So, we kindly invite nanotech companies to attend this great event as a part of the nanoscience community and share their experience with us.

We would like to thank you in advance for your kind interest in our conference, your attendance, and your valuable contributions.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the 18th International Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Conference.

With best regards,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee

Istanbul: host city

Istanbul where East & West meets

Istanbul, the vibrant metropolis straddling two continents, stands as a testament to the confluence of cultures, history, and modernity. Situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, this dynamic city is Turkey's largest and one of the world's most captivating destinations.

With a rich history spanning over millennia, Istanbul has been a focal point of several great civilizations, including the Byzantine, Roman, and Ottoman empires. This historical legacy is reflected in its architectural marvels, from the iconic Hagia Sophia and the majestic Blue Mosque to the grandeur of the Topkapi Palace.

Istanbul is more than a relic of the past; it's a dynamic, cosmopolitan hub brimming with energy. Its streets are alive with the hustle and bustle of bazaars, where the irresistible scent of spices intertwines with the lively banter of merchants. Meanwhile, modern districts offer a contrasting scene, with chic cafes, pulsating nightlife, and a thriving art scene that speaks to the city's contemporary spirit.

Moreover, Istanbul's strategic location along the Bosphorus Strait lends it unparalleled beauty, with stunning vistas of the shimmering waters and the silhouette of minarets against the skyline.

In essence, Istanbul is a city of contrasts, where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with contemporary life, offering visitors a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Workshop

Nanopatterning Workshop @ NanoTR

The key enabler for new nano-device development and manufacturing is the capability to fabricate nano-scale features using additive/subtractive nanopatterning techniques such as electron beam, thermal scanning probe, laser beam, optical lithography, and two-photon polymerization. Advanced applications such as quantum technology, photonics, and spintronics require pushing the limits by optimizing the combination of equipment, materials, processes, and software.

This workshop focuses on the latest trends and solutions in nano-patterning with presentations and discussions by international nanofabrication experts from research, industry, equipment, and software suppliers.

The outcome of the workshop will provide valuable information on advanced nanopatterning applications and solutions. The attendees will get insights about the latest developments and trends in e-beam and laser direct write lithography, proximity and process correction (PEC) software, lithography and Monte Carlo simulation, and inspection. Participants will extend their knowledge all around nanotechnology and meet peers, academicians, and industry leaders in nanoscience and applied technologies.

The workshop will take place during the "18th International Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Conference" at Koç University, İstanbul, Türkiye.

Date: August 28, 2024 (09:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Refreshments will be served during the breaks.
