The Art of Possibility: Creativity, Courage, and Change in Arts Entrepreneurship Education

The 2026 Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education Annual Conference aims to provide a platform for educators, students, artists, and entrepreneurs to come together to exchange ideas, gain new insights, and foster collaborations in the field of arts entrepreneurship education.

This conference will serve as a space for attendees to engage in thought-provoking discussions, attend informative workshops, and network with like-minded individuals. The primary goal of the conference is to promote and advance the field of arts entrepreneurship education. By bringing together a diverse group of participants, including experienced professionals and emerging leaders in the arts and business sectors, we hope to facilitate the sharing of best practices and innovative strategies for teaching entrepreneurship in the arts.

With the increasing demand for creative and entrepreneurial skills in various industries, arts entrepreneurs and educators must stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the field. The 2026 Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education Annual Conference will provide a platform to address these topics and explore ways to incorporate them into arts entrepreneurship education. Furthermore, we aim to foster a community of like-minded individuals passionate about supporting the next generation of arts entrepreneurs.

Through networking events and interactive sessions, attendees can connect with peers and form collaborations that can lead to new opportunities and partnerships. Finally, the conference aims to inspire and empower attendees to embrace and promote the importance of arts entrepreneurship education. By showcasing successful case studies and stories, we hope to motivate and equip individuals to incorporate entrepreneurship into their arts education curriculum and to advocate for its importance in the broader education landscape.

We invite all attendees to join us in our mission to advance the field of arts entrepreneurship education and shape the future of the arts economy.

Note: The original hotel block at the Aloft - Tallahassee Downtown was filled due to competiton with a youth soccer tournament during the same dates.

Because of the tournament, some hotel prices have grown significantly. As a way to allow you to book affordable hotels and still attend, we will be providing transportation between hotels to the east of the venue and north of the venue.

We suggest looking into the following hotels, which Kayak and other sites have shown to be affordable:

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tallahassee Central - EAST
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tallahassee Central - EAST
Holiday Inn Tallahassee E Capitol - Univ - EAST
Tru by Hilton - EAST
Holiday Inn & Suites Tallahassee Conference - NORTH

Getting to Tallahassee

Via Air:

Tallahassee is serviced by Tallahassee International Airport, (TLH) which is located just over 6 miles away from the conference location and conference hotel.

TLH is serviced by American Airlines (via Charlotte, Dallas Ft. Worth, Miami, and Washington, D.C.) and Delta Airlines (via Atlanta).

Via Rail:

Tallahassee is not directly serviced by Amtrak. The closest Amtrak station is in Gainesville, FL, 128 miles away.

Via Bus:

Greyhound services Tallahassee via the C.K. Steele Plaza, downtown. This location is across the street from the conference hotel.

Via Car:

Tallahassee is connected by I-10 (a major East-West interstate) to I-75 and I-85/I-65 both directly and via the US highway system.

To and From Hotels and the Conference Venue:

SAEE is developing a transportation plan using a 12-passenger van to and from hotels to the East of downtown and to the North of downtown to reduce the impact of the loss of the conference hotel and rate. A schedule and pickup locations will be posted shortly.

This shuttle will operate one to two loops in the morning before the start of each conference day (depending on usage), and one to two loops in the evening at the end of each conference day. The shuttle will not be available for ad-hoc trips back to hotels or to the airport.

Within Tallahassee:

Within Tallahassee itself, the StarMetro is the public transportation service for the city. The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship is serviced by numerous bus lines.

Additionally, Florida State University partners with numerous bus systems across its campuses

Announcements

SAEE is aware that the original hotel block at the Aloft is no longer available. We have included a list of other suggested hotels on the Travel Information section of the website, and are working on a transportation plan using a 12-passenger van from hotels to the east and north of the conference venue.
