OVERVIEW: This in-person three-day course provides a general overview of FLAC2D and covers many basic concepts and recommended procedures for geotechnical numerical analysis with FLAC2D. Topics to be covered during the three-day course include an introduction to FLAC2D including new user interface, model generation, mechanical modeling, groundwater analysis, structural support, introduction to FISH and Python scripting, and example applications including slope stability, supported tunnels, and excavation analyses.
REQUIREMENTS: This is hands-on training, so a laptop computer with administrative rights is required. Please note that this is an in-person event only, there are no virtual/remote attendance options.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON TRAININGS: For an additional cost, two other training courses are available.
