WELCOME

Dear Colleagues,

The International Mineral Processing Symposium (IMPS) has been traditionally held every two years since 1986, on a rotational basis between five distinguished universities in Türkiye: Dokuz Eylül University, Istanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University, Hacettepe University, and Eskişehir Osmangazi University.

The International Mineral Processing Symposium, with a history spanning more than 35 years and international recognition, continues to serve as a platform where both domestic and international scientists and professionals in the mineral processing sector share current information, developments, and thoughts on the future of the mineral processing industry. Undoubtedly, the main factors contributing to the symposium's longstanding success have been the support provided by academicians and the public and private sectors. We anticipate that this tradition of support will continue and grow in the same manner.

The Symposium Executive Board has deemed Eskişehir Osmangazi University to host the 18th International Mineral Processing Symposium. The symposium, which is scheduled to take place in Eskişehir on October 16-18, 2024, honors the memory of Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Özdağ, our department head and president of the 13th International Mineral Processing Symposium, and Prof. Dr. Güven Önal, the president of the Yurt Madenciliği Geliştirme Vakfı.

As we embark on this journey, we believe in the continued contributions of academicians and public and private sector firms towards successfully realizing the 18th International Mineral Processing Symposium, we hope to meet in Eskişehir on October 16-18, 2024.

Host City ESKİŞEHİR

A European City in Anatolia / Türkiye ...

Eskişehir stands out with its cultural richness and urban identity where different cultural communities and groups live together in harmony.

Eskişehirone of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, has been located at the crossroads of important roads for ages and has gained importance as a trade center.

Throughout history, the city, under the rule of Phrygia, Lydia, Rome, and Byzantium, was conquered by the Seljuk State and came under Turkish rule starting from the 11th century.

Eskişehir has a rich historical and cultural accumulation with its ancient Phrygian ruins, Yazılıkaya Monuments, and other archaeological works, as well as Seljuk and Ottoman artifacts and museums. In addition, it has an important tourism potential with its natural resources, spas, caves, and recreation areas.

Filled with cultural riches, Eskişehir was selected as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2013 and became a center where the Turkic world met during the cultural capital process. Eskişehir, which was also the UNESCO Capital of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the same year, became the center of scientific, cultural, and artistic activities in the field of intangible cultural heritage.

Eskişehir, neighbour cities such as Kütahya, Ankara, Afyon, and Bilecik, can be accessed from these cities by land. It is possible to reach Eskişehir from Ankara in 1.5 hours by high-speed train and in approximately 3 hours from İstanbul.

Eskişehir is a peaceful and enjoyable destination that can be preferred for daily trips and short weekend holidays...

Abstract Submission Guideline:

We kindly request you review the following details for a smooth submission experience:

  • You may submit 2 abstracts maximum, with only 1 selected for an oral presentation.
  • Editing, saving, and submitting for review are enabled in the system.
  • Please select the presentation type and scientific topic.
  • The system automatically formats abstract length, type, etc.
  • Capitalize each word in the title within a max of 20 words.
  • The submitting author is the “Corresponding Author.”
  • Add co-authors individually and order them using drag and drop.
  • Carefully enter author affiliations and emails since the system automatically merges based on name. Copy/paste affiliations to avoid misspellings and rewrite names if authors have multiple affiliations.

  • Please avoid images, charts, and tables if possible. But if necessary, you can add them as images.
  • Do not include the title, authors, and affiliations in the text section. You may mention research support like project names.
  • Only add references and keywords in the designated fields, not in the abstract text.
  • Research support notes can optionally be added to the text section if applicable.
